The Connecticut Master Chorale was invited by The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra to join them in a program entitled "VIVA VERDI!" on Saturday, December 1st, 2001 at Ridgefield High School.
The Chorale performed a number of Verdi works including Va pensiero from Nabucco; Libiamo from La Traviata; Triumphal Scene from Aida; plus Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore which was conducted by Tina Johns Heidrich. There were also some Wagner selections from Seigfried and Gotterdammerung performed by Orchestra and Soloists.
The program featured soprano Heather Thompson and tenor Perry Price with the orchestra conducted by Sidney Rothstein.
